Sunday - July 13, 2008

Sunday we went to "New Jerusalem" church - a building we built a view years ago that they have since added onto - including a building for children's classes. There Rilla, Ginger and a lot of helpers taught the story of Noah and the Ark. The children LOVED it! They enjoyed the story, animal "puppets" that they received and the activities of coloring, bracelet making and singing. (Robin in photo is making sure Jeff is listening to the story).
Then we had worship service with our Honduran brothers and sisters. After a short time at the mall we went to the children's home, Casa de Esperanza - in Santa Ana. (I am adding their website as a link on the blog). They have 11 children there - to get 2 more this week.
In the evening, after a devo, some of us went to Santa Lucia - another small village, about 30 minutes outside of Tegucigalpa - where we had a sing fest with the TORCH group inside of an old 1700's cathedral... really neat and uplifting! Carol
